About Me
With an innate passion for photography, art, and design that ignited in my youth, I embarked on a journey that intertwined creativity and service throughout my career. My first foray into the world of photography began during high school, where I secured a job at Allen Photography in the era preceding the digital revolution. As I honed my skills, I transitioned to a photo center during my college years, delving into the meticulous craft of photo development.
In 2007, I proudly earned my Associate of Art degree from Arkansas State University-Beebe, laying the foundation for my multifaceted career. Post-graduation, I assumed the role of portrait studio manager, where I cultivated leadership and managerial prowess, overseeing operations with precision and creativity. Subsequently, my journey led me to a photography company specializing in school photos, affording me the opportunity to traverse the state and capture timeless moments in educational settings.
Transitioning gears, I embarked on a five-year tenure at State Farm, obtaining my Insurance License and mastering the art of client relations and risk management. However, my most profound role awaited me on the path of motherhood, prompting me to embrace the role of a dedicated stay-at-home mom.
Amidst nurturing my family, I found solace and purpose in community service, spearheading an outreach program at New Life Church in Cabot, Arkansas. As the Director of the Christmas Mall, I orchestrated a transformative experience for over 500 children and their families, meticulously coordinating every aspect from fundraising to volunteer management. This endeavor epitomized my capacity for organization, leadership, and compassion.
Furthermore, I lent my creative expertise to the realm of event planning, orchestrating numerous weddings with meticulous attention to detail, from invitations to execution. It was during this period of self-discovery and growth that I resolved to pursue higher education, driven by a fervent desire to merge my passion for design with digital technology.
Returning to academia, I embarked on a journey to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology and Design, with a specialization in Digital Communication. As an exceptional student, my dedication and creativity were recognized, culminating in the publication of my work in the esteemed Arkansas State University-Beebe magazine, UnCharted.
My journey took an enriching turn when I studied abroad at Queen Margrete University in Scotland during the summer of 2023. There, I delved into the psychology of fear, eager to unravel its intricacies and understand how it impacts our brains and behaviors. This immersive experience deepened my insights into human emotions and reactions, enriching my understanding of design elements aimed at evoking fear.
Combining this newfound knowledge with my passion for photography, art, and design, I honed my craft to create visually compelling narratives that resonate with viewers on an emotional level. Whether capturing moments of vulnerability or orchestrating events that inspire courage, my goal remains steadfast: to leverage creativity as a tool for empathy, understanding, and empowerment.
Today, I stand at the intersection of creativity, compassion, and innovation, poised to leverage my diverse skill set and experiences to make a meaningful impact in the digital landscape. With a steadfast commitment to excellence and a heart for service, I embrace every opportunity to bring visions to life and empower others through design and communication.
